- Biomass comes from widely sources. Some of biomass meets the requirements of low cost, accessibility and less impurity. In recent years, the reclamation techniques of the lignin biomass have been developed. If the biomass is recovered from waste disposal, the made energy is regarded as promising renewable energy. In this study, three types of biomass, including palm fiber (CSPF), cryptomeria waste (CW), waste sawdust (WS) and municipal solid wastes (MSW) have been tested. The general properties, and produced gas of the biomass are obtained and compared to municipal waste (MSW) and two coal samples. Gasification with and without carbonate catalysts, and the reforming of the syngas by a NiO-CeO2/γ-Al2O3 catalyst for the increase of H2 content and the reduction of CH4 were investigated and optimized. The biosyngas was tested as a fuel for a self-assembled SOFC. The outputs (open-circuit voltage) of the SOFC were 0.94 V-1.00 V and a maximum power densi
